Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning: Establish and coordinate the overall automation test strategy based on test plans written for each Sprint ticket. Ensure there is an automation test strategy for backlog manual test cases.
- Automation Development: Lead the design, development, maintenance, and execution of robust and scalable automated test scripts and frameworks (UI, API, backend).
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide junior QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Drive the adoption of QA best practices and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient release cycles.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to triage bugs, manage the defect lifecycle, and report on key quality metrics and progress to leadership.
- Problem Solving: Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, troubleshooting problems within the systems under test and ensuring timely resolution.
Work Experience Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation or as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), including experience in a lead or senior role.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright or similar).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of AI driven QA Approaches.
- Exposure to self healing Test Automation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Experience working with team members located in different time zones.
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
