The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is seeking a QA Analyst who will serve as a memberof the Application Development Team under the Division of Libraries and Technology. The Applications Development Team is responsible for enterprise architecture, development, system testing, analysis, and maintenance of Wisconsin Information systems for education that capture, interrelate and report data. This includes but is not limited to WISE applications that focus on finance, budget, and data collection and reporting applications. These systems require extensive knowledge and experience developing complex applications, reports, and relational databases. This position is likely to be involved with the maintenance and enhancement of the department's largest and most complex enterprise applications. This person will be the QA Analyst for a team practicing the Agile/Scrum development methodology and provide QA testing support.
Quality Assurance Analyst capabilities with 10 or more years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently, performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director β Application Development and Management, this person will work closely with others to accomplish project objectives, or function independently to accomplish daily work requirements as a member of the Applications Development Team. Objectives, priorities, and deadlines are established in consultation with the department program area leaders, product owner, scrum master, and the Applications Development Team manager.
Quality Assurance related duties include: Review agency education related business systems; provide analysis and evaluate user needs. Report to Project team, supervisor the findings of effectiveness of procedures in place and make recommendations on policy initiatives and/or identified business problems toward efficiencies.
