We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to enhance product quality through the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and automation frameworks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of user interfaces, APIs, and backend services.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in automated testing, API validation, and Agile environments, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and services
  • Perform functional, integration, performance, and system testing
  • Create and execute test cases, track defects, and validate resolutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement automation frameworks
  • Conduct API testing (REST/SOAP) and validate backend integrations
  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Provide task estimates, status updates, and progress reports
  • Assist in developing test documentation, work instructions, and training materials
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring defects are resolved prior to production

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of software development experience OR 3+ years of automated testing experience
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Visual Studio, Eclipse)
  • Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP)
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries
  • Basic understanding of application code in .NET, Java, or PHP
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or enhancing test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL) certification
