Interview process: IKM + 2 rounds

Project Scope / Components: Primarily around Optum Pay Premium – While the Dev teams are adding portal changes, enhancements to functionality, delivering the UI frontend & backend, as well as batch processing.

Development Methodology: Agile – 2 weeks

High-Level Individual Duties:

• Design and develop automation frameworks using Java, Cucumber, TestNG
• Ensure extensive test coverage
• Be capable of building, deploying and managing own environment
• Develop quality automation code and maintain automation code
• Test plan, test case, and test script creation and execution
• Requirements analysis and estimation
• Environment validation
• Investigate issues and provide analysis
• Defect and trend tracking, reporting, and analysis

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

• Java (mid-level)
• Cucumber
• Selenium
• ATDD / clientD
• STRONG Communication and Analytical skills
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins)
• Mid-level SQL skills

Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

• Azure
• TestNG (Junit is fine as an alternative)

Description:

What is the specific title of the position? - Quality Engineer

Work location (specify UHG/UHC/Optum location or remote/telecommute)? - Flexible - CST/EST time zone

Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)? - Primarily 9am - 5 pm, but should be flexible to support the team as and when needed.

Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? - Primarily will support broker/sales platform across different lines of business.

Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members? - Will be working with a team of approximately 10 with both offshore and onshore.

What is the break-down of the teams skill sets (ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.)? - 6 dev, 2 QE, 2 Ops.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?

• Ability to script and execute automation scripts in Selenium.
• Proficient in manual testing
• Experience with API testing
• Great understanding of Agile/SDLC/STLC.
• Great communication.
