Quality Assurance Engineer

ExamWorks is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our  team onsite!

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to create test plans and formulate adequate test coverage for all aspects of QA such as targeted, exploratory, acceptance and regression testing of all applications as directed.  This is accomplished via the use of off the shelf testing tools but may require building a proprietary testing tool.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Schedule launch and control of performance/compliance of all Quality Assurance activities.
• Control and planning of the project-specific software quality activities including acceptance tests of MIR software and/or Galileo and support to development activities.
• Provide advice and support to the project management and specific departments.
• Process non-conformances.
• Support process improvement of the software department and other interfacing areas.
• Create, write and execute test plans for manual and/or automated tests.
• Work on a variety of software applications developed in MS SQL Server, MS C#.Net, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Java and Siebel environments.
• Software QA/Software Tester, responsible for full test lifecycle, including writing test documentation, estimation reports, test plans, scripts, conditions and progress and completion reports.
• Create and validate test data for functional components of software applications.
• Provide continual updating of regression plans to incorporate new/updated processes and features.
• Identify defects / bugs and communicate with the developers.
• Adhere to Corporate and departmental policies and procedures, including HIPAA requirements.
• Adhere to all safety, health rules/regulations and security associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Create and maintain general system documentation as directed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience  

• Bachelor degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience. 
• Two or more years of experience with Software Testing Tools such as Microsoft Test Manager.
