The ideal candidate for this Journey-level SDET/Quality Assurance (QA) position is a detail-oriented and technically proficient professional with a strong background in both automated and manual testing methodologies. They will possess hands-on experience designing, developing, and executing test solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of complex applications.

The SDET/Quality Assurance Tester reports to the Application Quality Assurance Supervisor and serves as a member of the LCD QA Team, as well as one or more feature development teams. This role supports the development, operations, and maintenance of Leave and Care Technology systems that enable the PFML and WA Cares programs.
This Journey-level SDET/Quality Assurance (QA) position plays a pivotal role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of automated and manual testing solutions for both internal and external facing applications. Leveraging the Azure cloud platform as the primary development and deployment environment, the QA professional ensures systems meet defined business requirements and technical specifications. Responsibilities include design, development and creation of automated and/or manual tests and test suites; executing tests and test suites to facilitate continuous integration pipelines; evaluation and detailed reporting of test outcomes and the creation and maintenance of thorough documentation.
Some of your daily duties may include but not limited to:
Using industry best practices and strategies, develop manual and/or automated test solutions for internal- and external-facing applications.
Develop and maintain automated tests, including but not limited to these types:Technical analysis of documentation, applications, data, and source code
Create solutions to support continuous integration
Create and maintain technical documentation

Required:
Option 1:
Six (6) years of professional experience in an information technology field analyzing, testing, and/or maintaining software applications, or implementing software development projects and including testing experience in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools.
Option 2:
Associate’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field and four (4) or more years of demonstrated IT experience with analysis, testing, quality assurance, maintaining software applications, implementing software development projects, including exposure to testing in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools.
Option 3:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field and two (2) or more years of demonstrated IT experience with analysis, testing, quality assurance, maintaining software applications, implementing software development projects, including exposure to testing in an Agile environment using testing and release management tools.
OR:
A combination of education and/or relevant IT experience totaling a minimum of at least six (6) years.
Required Competencies:
Experience may include Software Quality Assurance, Development and/or Programming experience including (but not limited to):
Desirable/Preferred Education, Experience or Certifications:
Certification(s) in software testing techniques, methodologies and/or tools such as from ASQ or ISTQB including
Familiarity with Microsoft’s suite of productivity and collaboration tools is essential
Experience with using industry standard tools for creating, managing, and running tests (such as Azure DevOps, TFS). Experience using testing frameworks to automate and execute tests (such as Nunit and Selenium)
Experience analyzing and testing MS Dynamics systems and components including Customer relationship management (CRM) and/or Finance and Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) An understanding of HTML and CSS
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, customer service, and working under constrained deadlines
Financial and/or state government knowledge
Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor Degree = 4 years | Masters or Higher = 5 years
** A Master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience
