Key Responsibilities:


Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of internal processes, external processes, and finished goods to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.
  • Establish and maintain product quality standards, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Review customer RTV data, consumer reviews data, and internal rejection data to develop inspection plans and corrective actions.


Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce defects, improve processes, and optimize efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement projects, using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into all phases of product development, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Communicate quality metrics, reports, and findings to stakeholders and recommend improvements.
  • Work with customers on quality-related matters, including complaints and feedback resolution.


Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISTA, or other relevant certifications).
  • Maintain and manage quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and certifications.
  • Stay updated on emerging regulations, standards, and technologies in the consumer plastic goods industry.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in consumer plastic goods or a related manufacturing industry.


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, blow molding, extrusion).
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP, DOE).
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, REACH).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.


Technical Proficiency:

  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and software tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality assurance tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC charts).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.


Additional Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives in plastic goods manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain.
